Instagram announced yet another new change at the beginning of 2022, which could make some users who depend on the social network afraid – especially marketers, for example.
The social network, focused on publishing photos and videos, always tests new changes (some controversial) and then goes back or comes up with new ideas.
This time, Instagram informs that it is testing new feeds, where the user will have 3 options available, do you want to understand what these changes will be and how to prepare in advance? Check out the details in this post.
Network changes for 2022, what to expect?
It seems complicated but it's not, follow the explanation of what changes and how this novelty can be used to highlight your virtual store , for example and of course make sure you don't lose sales.
Return of chronological posts
In 2016, the social network already had this type of post. After the change, what we have today is the prioritization of profiles that we interact with the most. That is, accounts that you usually like the most are what are shown on your screen the most.
However, the head of Instagram, Adam Mosseri, through social networks explained details about the change:
“We think it's important that you can get a chronological feed quickly, if you're interested, and see the latest news posted by the accounts you follow,” says Mosseri.

Instagram will have 3 types of options:
Home
In this option, the feed will follow the current model. That is, Instagram will continue to Belgium WhatsApp Number List order the posts according to the algorithm that the user believes to be the preference of that user, and will continue to include recommendations from accounts that the user does not follow, based on their personal tastes;
Following
In this second option, the user's feed will follow a chronological order, appearing on the screen only accounts that users follow, that is, without personalized recommendations from the social network;
favorites
In the “favorites” option, each user can create an individual list that guarantees engagement with the publications of the profiles they like the most, such as artists, friends or favorite stores, for example.

The move had been planned since Dec.
The Instagram executive claims that the social network has been studying the return of the chronological option since December, motivated by the hearing held in the United States Senate, in which it became known as Facebook Papers.
Instagram is seeking more transparency with users
According to Mosseri, this change would bring several benefits, and among them is greater transparency, accountability and also greater control for users.
Trials for returning the chronological feed are being performed on a percentage of the global community and we don't know if this includes Brazil.
“We're testing with a small percentage of our global community new ways for people to have more control over what they access in Feed. We hope to release them soon.”
